Begin in Šibenik

Give the first day to the historic city. Walk through its streets and spend time around the Cathedral of St James, allowing the architecture and waterfront to form a natural introduction. Choose one cultural visit to deepen the afternoon.

A base in or near the city lets you return to a familiar place for dinner after a day out. Keep that first evening uncomplicated. Šibenik works well when the city itself has a full chapter in the trip.

Set aside a day for Krka

Krka National Park combines waterfalls, river landscapes and layers of human history. Skradinski buk offers a marked walking route and a setting where watermills and the river's industrial heritage become part of the experience alongside the natural scenery.

Choose an entrance and route before travelling. The park covers several distinct areas, and one visit does not automatically include every waterfall, monastery or boat journey. A focused plan leaves more time to enjoy the places you actually reach.

Follow the season's practical rhythm

October is our first choice for a stay built around culture and walking. Later in autumn, check the open park areas and available services particularly carefully. Keep a second city activity ready if weather changes the order of your days.

Allow two or three nights for the pairing, with one complete day in Šibenik and another at Krka. Follow a park visit with an easy evening by the coast, giving the contrast between river and city time to become part of the memory.

Give yourself time for…

  • Šibenik's old town and cathedral setting
  • Skradinski buk's walking route
  • Krka's river landscapes and watermills

Plan it thoughtfully

Verify the chosen park entrance, open routes and any boat services on the official Krka website. Operations vary by season; allow adequate daylight and wear appropriate walking shoes.

One season. Different stories.
